Adult classes 

Cordão de Ouro Stockholm (CdO Stockholm) trains under the guidance of contra mestre Eurico, who is a student of Mestre Suassuna, the founder of Cordão de Ouro. Contra mestre Eurico is known for his work and research on the aspects of social integration and inclusion of capoeira. Aside from CdO Stockholm, CM Eurico has 2 additional groups in Sweden (Västerås, Helsingborg), as well as groups in Finland, Brazil, New Zealand and Australia. 

At CdO Stockholm we offer classes to adults and children. The children groups are lead by instrutora Ingela and assisted by graduado Tião. More information on our children groups can be found here (in Swedish only).

The adult group is lead by monitor Salgadinho, graduado Xumi and graduada Kim. In addition to our regular capoeira classes, we often train on music and acrobatics. During the music classes all students will train on their skills playing pandeiro, berimbau and atabaque, whereas students will improve their body control and balance by training anything from a handstand and a cartwheel to aerials during the acrobatics classes. The students will also learn about capoeira as a culture.

Students of all levels train in one group with each other, thereby promoting and supporting each others learning curves. Classes are being held in both Swedish and English, as we are often visited by capoeristas from all over the globe. 

Are you eager to find out if capoeira is something for you as well? We offer the possibility to train with us 2 times for free before you decide on becoming a member. In addition: all capoeiristas visiting Stockholm are very welcome to stop by and join us for a training! More information on training fees and how to get to our hall can be found below.

Fees

To become a member, one will have to pay both a training fee as well as a membership fee. The training fee is paid every term, whereas the membership fee is paid annually.

Adults, training 2-3 times/week: 1800 kr/term

Adults, training 1 time/week: 1500kr/term

Students: 1500 kr/term

Tryout classes (free): New students are welcome to try out 2 classes before they decide on becoming a member.

Membership fee (insurance): 100 kr/year
(Same price for children, students and adults)

The membership fee is paid annually. This fee is compulsory as it covers the cost of an insurance, which we order from budo- och kampsportsförbundet (Swedish Martial Arts Foundation).

Payments should be made online. Our club's plusgiro is 783-7065.

Cancelled classes

Our regular classes are cancelled during school holidays, as we train in school gyms. For the Spring term 2012 this includes the following cancellations: week 09 (Spring Break / Sportlov), week 15 (Easter), week 18 (May 1st), Week 20 (May 17th). Additional cancellations will be announced via our website, e-mail and our Facebook group.
